In today's global climate, the need for a reliable and effective means to detect explosive devices or components is crucial. Traditionally, conventional explosive detection technology has relied upon instruments which identify signature vapours given off by unstable explosives compounds as they evaporate. However, this method of detection is not 100% accurate, and with the rise of global terrorism, explosive devices are evolving to become increasingly harder to detect.
The Explonix is a portable, user friendly detection device that can employ two methods of detection: not only can it identify explosive vapours in a conventional manner to identify bulk quantities of explosive materials, but it can also identify particulate traces - microscopic particles of solid explosive material which adhere to any surface the explosive has come in contact with.
Whilst a competently made explosive device can be designed to mask vapour traces, even the most skilled bomb maker cannot completely eradicate traces of explosive particulate from a handled device - making Explonix a reliable detection solution even in situations where more conventional detectors may fail. In addition, Explonix's particulate detection enables effective identification of anything or anyone that might have come into contact with explosive material, making it ideal for investigation and analysis as well as direct detection.
The Explonix can be used to identify a wide and varied range of explosive materials, from conventional military plastic explosives to home made compounds.
