BAE Systems provides a wide range of state-of-the-art survivability systems for warfighters. We offer the lightest body armor available, and our R&D team continuously upgrades our products to provide the greatest possible protection and comfort.

Our head-to-toe individual equipment range includes body armor, vests, hydration systems, equipage, assault packs, helmets, flotation collars, parachutes and ensemble integration. Our products meet DoD requirements for NIJ level II to IV small arms and fragmentation multi-threat protection.

SMALL ARMS PROTECTIVE INSERT PLATES

Featuring increased performance levels to SAPI plates, SAPI Armor-Piercing (AP) insert plates offer multi-hit, lightweight and durable ballistic-protection against the same armor-piercing rounds. ECLiPSE SOLAR™ plates off multi-hit protection in a variety of environmental conditions.

These plates are also designed to specifications set forth by the Special Operations Forces Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEAR) under the Body Armor/Load Carriage System (BALCS) program.

SAPI INSERT PLATES

Featuring increased performance levels to SAPI plates, SAPI Armor-Piercing (AP) insert plates offer multi-hit (three to six shots), lightweight and durable ballistic-protection against the same armor-piercing rounds.

EXTREMITY BODY ARMOR

The Lightweight Integrated Mobility Body armor System (LIMBS) provides both great mobility, and protection of the deltoid, bicep, torso and thigh / groin areas.

BULLET-RESISTANT VESTS

BAE Systems' bullet resistant vests offer front, back and side ballistic protection from NIJ levels II to IV, maximum mobility and full concealability. Some can be customized for high-threat situations with our ballistic SAPI upgrade plates.

RELEASABLE BODY ARMOR VEST (RBAV)

The RBAV offers upper torso protection from fragmentation and is compatible with the SPEAR/BALCS requirements.

IMPROVED OUTER TACTICAL VEST

The Improved Outer Tactical Vest (OTV) offers upper torso protection from fragmentation and 9mm rounds while simultaneously providing protection for the groin and neck. The front and back pockets hold SAPI and SAPI AP plates. The IOTV is available in 11 sizes, including long.

BALLISTIC PROTECTIVE HELMETS

BAE Systems' lightweight, high-performance protective helmets ensure comfort and maximum protection by incorporating the latest ballistic composite-construction technology.

We offer a wide range of next-generation helmets to match your mission needs, with varying weights and ballistic-protection levels, optional ballistic and non-ballistic face shields, and extensive accessories.

LOAD-CARRYING EQUIPMENT SYSTEM

Our Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system improves mission efficiency without compromising mobility or readiness. The external frame and quick-release mechanism allow the soldier to drop the carrying gear while still maintaining the fighting load-carrying vest and pockets.

Our lightweight assault-packs range from 3,200in³ to 1,800in³, prevent heat buildup and maximize evaporative cooling. Pockets can be mounted on the inside and outside of the waist belt.

Our duffel bags' dual-purpose carrying straps allow them to double as backpacks.

ENSEMBLE INTEGRATION

The Air Warrior modular system increases freedom of movement at flight controls to help safely operate aircraft systems, and enables easier ingress and egress.

The form-fitted, adjustable, streamlined and highly visible Low Profile Survival-Vest Ensemble (LPSVE) integrates a survival vest, flotation collar, and pockets for emergency-breathing devices.

Our Load-Bearing Extraction Vest (LBEV) is designated safe-to-fly for HH-60 helicopters, and features an energy-attenuating retention tether designed to USAF SAR requirements.

HYDRATION SYSTEMS

BAE Systems' hydration systems with MOLLE-compatible carriers enable pockets to be mounted directly to a fully-insulated carrier.

FLOTATION COLLARS

Our flotation collars provide comfort, mobility, redundant flotation cells and autorotation capabilities that keep the wearer face-up in water.

AIRCREW EMERGENCY-BAILOUT PARACHUTES

BAE Systems' aircrew emergency-bailout parachute is patented, backpack-style and environmentally-sealed. It includes J1 canopy releases, weighs only 17lb (7.7kg) and is certified to FAA TSO C-23d.

ECLiPSE™ PERFORMACE MILITARY GEAR

BAE Systems' new premier product line, ECLiPSE™, features performance military gear designed by soldiers for soldiers. These products are durable, yet weight sensitive, and provide versatility not commonly found in the field.

ECLiPSE equipment includes pouches, vests, hard body-armor and tactical shirts.
