Warwick engineers robust fabrics and flexible laminates for chemical and biological protection. Manufacturers can choose to seam these CB laminate products using RF welding, hot air / hot wedge welding, or high-pressure, high-heat bonds. Warwick also uses these advanced lightweight textiles and durable protective coatings to fabricate finished soft-sided structures and garments for chemical and biological defense. TurtleSkin chemical anf biological live-agent barriers Warwick develops impermeable chemical biological laminates for shelters and soft-sided structures that exceed the 72-hour live-agent testing performed at Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC). Even after repetitive erecting and striking, decontamination, exposure to abrasion and UV, and weather, TurtleSkin CB laminates are designed to retain their chemical and biological performance while resisting pinholing, tearing, and de-lamination. TurtleSkin CB laminates meet rigorous requirements for blackout, IR signature, thermal load, packing volume, interply peel strength, tensile strength, and flame resistance. TurtleSkin chemical and biological collective protection materials Warwick’s high-strength textiles, adhesives, and durable protective coatings have been developed for use in inflatable and folding-frame CB protective shelters for defense, military, and emergency personnel. Developed for Natick Soldier System Center’s Shelters Technology, Engineering and Fabrication Directorate (STEFD) and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Warwick’s TurtleSkin CB material was selected for the CBPS-M4A program, which provides highly mobile, toxic-free work areas for medical and combat services. Our TurtleSkin CB laminate also meets the demanding specification for JECP (Joint Expeditionary Collective Protection). TurtleSkin chemical and biological barriers for individual protection Warwick is developing TurtleSkin CB protective materials for military and emergency personnel that offer advanced CB protection and also decrease heat stress, increase comfort, prolong operational capabilities, and keep garment mass and volume to a minimum. TurtleSkin chemical and biological protection materials research and development A focus on research and development, as well as our fully-vertical manufacturing capabilities, ensures both the highest quality and rapid delivery. We maintain complete traceability of all materials and operations in one location. Warwick engineers fabrics from concept, through prototype, and into production. Engineering and manufacturing operations include lab testing, research and development, material production, laminating, and final assembly. All sales of these TurtleSkin CB laminates must comply with US export control regulations of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
