SEDAB - Chemical Warfare and Multipurpose Decontamination SystemsSEDAB (Safety Equipment Development AB) specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of chemical warfare and multipurpose decontamination systems for civilian, anti-terrorist and military use. SEDAB also performs training courses within the field of decontamination, for OPCW (Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) staff and the Swedish Chemical Support Team and other foreign clients. SEDAB use only qualified and approved trainers with military NBC backgrounds for these courses. BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL DECONTAMINATION SYSTEMSThe SEDAB decontamination system offers full mobility and flexibility with high capacity. SEDAB systems offer not only an extremely short start-up time to full capacity (maximum 12 minutes after arrival on site) but also features low weight (trailers from 1,500kg including water) and ease of handling (operated by only two people). The system is self-sufficient with regards to electricity, hot water, compressed air and heating - using diesel for heat and power. Rapidly inflatable tents offer shelter for the decontamination process: two smaller 3m x 4m and two larger 6m x 6m units. Lighting is conveniently arranged from outside without any installation in the decontamination area. TRAILER-BASED DECONTAMINATION SYSTEMThe trailer decontamination system is available in several versions depending on the customers needs with regards to size and capacity. We can also offer a complete system based on two Alvis Hägglunds BV 206 tracked vehicles. All trailer systems are equipped with the necessary tools to achieve a complete decontamination of soldiers and personnel. Included are generator, pumps, tents, portable heaters, necessary lighting, showers, shower basins and self-rising waste water tank with pump. CONTAINER-BASED DECONTAMINATION SYSTEMThe container decontamination system is built in a sturdy 20ft steel container with a special cargo profile for truck transportation. The container comprises two compartments: machinery compartment and storage space. Between the two compartments there is a stainless, 3,000 litre reserve which functions as a partition. All necessary equipment is stowed in designated shelves for quick access and fast set-up. The container system is completely self-sufficient with regards to hot water and electricity. HOT AIR DECONTAMINATION SYSTEMThe hot air decontamination system is an excellent complement to the decontamination systems and uses a 20ft container as a platform. The system has been developed to perform a reliable hot air decontamination of suits and equipment. By exposing the objects inside to a temperature of 110°C for five hours all toxic substances will be neutralised. The container has the capacity to decontaminate 110 complete protective suits as well as tools and instruments in one decontamination session. DECONTAMINATION SPRAYER 8The decontamination sprayer 8 is used for spraying of decontamination emulsion. The sprayer can be an integral part of a military or civil decontamination unit or as a fitting to individual units or vehicles.
