Remploy Frontline Appoints New UK and Export Sales Manager

10 January 2006

British benchmark CBRN garment protection system provider, Remploy Frontline, supplier of bespoke CBRN solutions for military and civil agencies around the globe, has appointed Terry Farrugia as UK and Export Sales Manager.

Terry has worked in sales for 24 years and has spent the last 15 in the civil / military aviation market. He has worked with a range of foreign military forces worldwide, providing service and survival equipment for fast jet, rotary and non-fast jet aircrew including life preservers, anti G protection garments and life rafts.

He takes on responsibility for military export sales of Remploy Frontline’s proven MK 1V suit – an integral item of kit for the British military for the last 15 years, originally designed and endorsed by the UK MoD and then further developed in partnership with NATO.

Its successor, the new version Mk 1Va, is being phased into MoD operation in March and Terry will be fully responsible for this transition.

The Mk 1V CBRN garment protection suit has offered one of the most versatile and cost effective levels of protection available, suitable for use across a wide range of operational environments, and the new version Mk 1Va has effectively answered much of the physiological burden issue by offering significantly enhanced comfort parameters.

Working in conjunction with the UK MoD, Remploy Frontline has built a unique capability to develop product specifications, convert them into operational manuals and manufacturing templates and provide an expert commentary on their workability and practicality. This very expertise has been used on innumerable occasions to modify and progress specifications for a wide range of products associated with the military.

Terry comments “Remploy Frontline’s CBRN product range is respected throughout the UK and Commonwealth’s military communities. The new MK IVa is a very impressive piece of protection equipment and I am sure that once more organisations trial and compare this garment protection system with their existing kit they will see that we are offering a product which meets and exceeds their safety needs at a competitive price.”
