Remploy Launches CBRN Protection for Warmer Climates

13 March 2007 15:18

In regions of the world where the weather is hot and humid, it can be argued that traditional military garment systems that offer excellent CBRN protection are too hot, heavy and cumbersome to wear for prolonged periods. Underlining its proactive solution-provider position within the global CBRN protection market, benchmark British CBRN-protection specialist Remploy Frontline has devised a new garment protection system which can be worn for extended periods in a hot and humid environment.

The new Cougar CBRN ensemble is the first garment protection system which takes into account the specific and individual climactic conditions and physical burden issues of warmer regions, and provides a workable and wearable solution.

The Cougar is designed and tested to offer multi-hazard CBRN protection in all operational environments. It is manufactured from a lightweight high performance cut, tear and abrasion-resistant permeable fabric, and both the jacket and trousers are reusable and retain a continuous protection barrier when worn and laundered up to five times.
