Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear garment protection specialist REMPLOY FRONTLINE is proud to announce the successful development of an improved CBRN suit for the British military.
Designed and endorsed by the UK MoD, the Mk 1Va supercedes the proven Mk 1V which has been an integral item of kit for the MoD for the last 15 years and has been recognised as the benchmark CBRN protective system for military agencies around the world.
Underlining Remploy Frontline’s relentless focus on R&D and search for new fabric technologies, the new version suit, to be phased in during March 2006, successfully delivers the best performance possible with the least physiological burden. Utilising the very latest garment design and new fabric innovations, the MoD Mk 1Va uses new materials to make the suit even more comfortable for the user.
Created with the diversity and harsh reality of military field environments in mind, like its predecessor the Mk 1Va is quick and easy to put on and provides minimum restriction to mobility and capability. It is a permeable-type garment system and used in conjunction with appropriate respirator, gloves and overboots, the two-piece suit provides a Level C (3) protection against all chemical and biological agents.
Incorporating the specialist knowledge and expertise of the world’s leading critical materials developers, including WL Gore, the Mk 1Va builds on the performance levels of the proven Mk1V by including a hygienic carbon layer (C-Knit) to ensure that the suit may be worn next to the skin without contaminating the wearer, and a new outer layer which consists of polyester and cotton ‘rip-stop’ material with a fire retardant finish. The enhanced Mk 1Va underline’s Remploy Frontline’s dedication to blend the most advanced materials and construction technologies available to achieve uncompromising performance and capability.
