Kaercher Futuretech is a worldwide leader in CBRN protection for both military and civilian applications. We provide a comprehensive system consisting of decontamination equipment including decontamination devices, modules and systems, and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) decontamination agents.

Decontamination systems

The aim of thorough decontamination is to destroy chemical and biological warfare agents or to make them harmless, and to remove radioactive particles from the surfaces of different objects, in order to avoid any direct or indirect contamination or damage to the personnel.

TEP 90 containerised decontamination system

The TEP 90 is a highly mobile containerised compact decontamination system which utilizes the most cutting-edge decontamination technologies and agents on the market. It allows the decontamination of persons, personal NBC protective clothing and personal equipment, sensitive material, large vehicles, aircraft, road sections and technical plant and installations (infrastructure) to a limit extent. The system is equipped with a hydraulic crane to enable system to be rapidly deployed without the need for external lifting equipment.

The Decon Shuttle, which is a part of TEP 90 is a mobile independently operable decontamination subsystem for special tasks such as decontamination of the interior of tanks, helicopters, aircraft or other installations.

The TEP 90 has recently been commissioned by the Civil Defence of Istanbul and by the German Army that has deployed 73 mobile decontamination units.

CDS 1000 frame-mounted decontamination system

The CDS 1000 GDS is a frame-mounted, compact, fully equipped decontamination system for vehicles, material and personnel. The system is specially equipped for the newly developed GDS 2000 decontamination solution.

DECOCONTAIN 3000 ELS containerised full decontamination system

The DECOCONTAIN 3000 GDPS is a compact, independent high-performance decontamination system for universal use day and night under all climate conditions. It forms the technical basis for the establishment of a complete decontamination site and allows the simultaneous decontamination of material (vehicles), persons and personal equipment. A central electrical power generator supplies all decontamination modules with electrical energy.

DSSM mobile decontamination system

The first mobile decontamination system for sensitive material in the world, the DSSM is able to effectively and reliably decontaminate radioactively, disinfect and/or detoxify sensitive material and other material which can not be treated using other decontamination systems or methods. The DSSM is also the first system that ensures this performance in the field.

DSO decontamination system for special operations

The systems are designed for quick reaction and thorough decontamination required fulfilling different decontamination tasks. These kinds of systems are also called DSO (decontamination system for special operations). The systems are distinguished by their modular concept which provides a very high level of flexibility and mobility. Each system consists of several modules which are located on pallets they are easy to handle and to transport. The target groups are air mobile special forces.

MPDS multi-purpose decontamination system

The multi-purpose decontamination system (MPDS) can be used either as an independent individual unit or incorporated in a complex decontamination system. It allows the deradiation, the disinfection, the personnel, the clothing and equipment, the terrain and the interior decontamination.

AMGDS 2000 decontamination module

The AMDG 200o is a convenient, fully automatic application system for the highly effective, non-aqueous GDS 2000 decontamination solution. The integrated double pump module guarantees the fully automatically easy application of the decontaminant. Together with the solution tank, the AMGDS 2000 holds enough decontaminant to treat more than 400m² of surface. Carrying handles and two built-in wheels enable easy movement and transportation.

Decontamination devices

DS 10 decontamination device

The DS 10 is a handy, portable pressure spray device with an integral mixer unit: powder and decontamination chemicals can be easily mixed or emulsified. It is used for the application of cleaning, disinfection or neutralizing agents.

Mediclean 2000 decontamination device

The Mediclean 2000 is a device used for the decontamination of injured people who have come into contact with hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive materials. It works through simultaneous application and extraction of the decontamination solution.

New family of decontamination agents

Our CBRN decontaminants are highly effective agents available for carrying out the rapid and effective radioactive, biological and chemical decontamination in the area of CBRN defence. The RDS 2000, BDS 2000 and GDS 2000 decontaminants are a complete family of CBRN decontamination agents which can be used effectively with minimal logistical effort at temperatures ranging from -30°C to +49°C. Beside their high decontamination effects, they stand out due to a good material compatibility and biological degradability.

GDS 2000 chemical decontaminant

GDS 2000 is a non-aqueous decontamination solution intended for the quick and effective detoxification of all known chemical warfare agents on surfaces of military and defence material within the temperature of -30°C to +49°C. The comparatively high reactivity of GDS 2000 even at low temperature minimises the required reaction time. This leads to a drastic reduction of the necessary decontamination times and enables increasing throughput of the vehicles, equipment to be decontaminated.

BDS 2000 biological decontamination agent

BDS 2000 is a highly effective system used against biological contamination on surfaces and interiors. The B Decontaminant system bases on a special thermally stable per acetic acid covers two application areas:

• Application of the active per acetic acid in combination with high-pressure decontamination modules for the decontamination of biologically contaminated surfaces
• Application of the active per acetic component using a thermal aerosol generator for the B decontamination of compartment air (interior rooms)

The active agent is the same for both applications and ensures easy handling and logistical advantages.

RDS 2000 radioactive decontaminant

RDS 2000 is a concentrated decontamination agent consisting of two separate components for the production of radioactive contaminant which radioactive particles to be used for the decontamination of surfaces contaminated with radioactive particles. Compared to other radioactive decontaminants used up to now, RDS 2000 shows a considerably higher level of efficiency.

CBRN protective clothing

Our self understanding is that personnel has to be protected in the best way possible way against CBRN threats and that they can fully trust in their protective equipment. Whether it is icy cold in Canada or oppressive heat in Malaysia, Kärcher Futuretech Safeguard protective suits are suitable for missions in all climatic zones. The protective garments are air permeable so that body heat stress is reduced to a minimum. Our CBRN protective textiles can be washed or decontaminated several times without losing their protective function, and can be stored for up to 15 years when packed air-tight.

Kaercher Futuretech Safeguard 2002-HP is a CBRNF protective garment made of a highly breathable fabric compound and is based on a breathable two layer system: one containing high performance activated carbon and a lightweight and highly resistant liner fabric.

Kaercher Futuretech Safeguard 3002-A1 is a protective suit that combines the benefits of CBRNF protection with those of a combat suit in order to enable the forces to fulfil their missions. These suits are based on an optimised shell fabric, a new absorber material and an improved liner fabric.
