Last week, Hotzone Solutions (HZS) ended its first ‘in house’ NDE training course at OPCW premises in The Hague, The Netherlands. HZS trained new NDE specialists from OPCW using different NDE methods, for a period of six weeks.

From 1 November to 10 December 2010, at OPCW offices, HZS consultants have delivered a NDE certified training course to OPCW inspectors. The aim was to provide new NDE specialists at OPCW the opportunity to practice and improve their technical skills and theoretical knowledge in use.

The methods used were:

  • Radiography (X-ray)
  • Ultrasonic testing (UPE)
  • Hydrogen concentration measurement (HCM)

The delivery of the course went well and the successful NDE specialists were certified in alignment with international standards.

Once again OPCW has chosen HZS for its NDE expertise, and expectations were reached on both side. HZS is now planning for its 2011 training schedule, which will include among others, new cooperation with the OPCW, the point of reference in the CBRNe world.
