LCD 3.3 – lightweight chemical detector / identifier

The LCD 3.3 is the latest CWA and TICs detector/identifier from Smiths Detection which builds upon our pedigree of the successful Lightweight Chemical Detectors currently in service around the world; the LCD 3.3 sets the new standard individual protection.

Lightweight and compact, it can be handheld or clipped discreetly to the user’s clothing, belt or harness, enabling them to undertake their primary role. Constantly sampling the air to detect and identify a wide range of Chemical Warfare Agents (CWAs) and Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs).

Hazmatid Ranger – handheld ft-ir solid and liquid chemical identifier

Designed for handheld, backpack or robot portability and ease of use in protective gear, the HazMatID Ranger is a rugged solid and liquid chemical identifier featuring touch-to-sample operation.

The HazMatID Ranger is a highly specific device that utilises proven FT-IR technology. It provides quick, easy and accurate identification of over 32,000 substances including:-

  • White powders
  • WMDs
  • Explosives
  • Narcotics and drugs precursors
  • Pesticides
  • Common chemicals
  • Toxic industrial chemicals

Bio-Seeq™ Plus – handheld biological identifier

Recent events highlight the escalating threat of terrorist activities involving biological weapons of mass destruction. Bioterrorism and biological warfare pose both physical and psychological threats to military, first responders and civilian populations.

The Bio-Seeq PLUS is a handheld, fully field portable identifier which provides results in 60 minutes. Used to identify biological substances such as Anthrax pX01, pX02, Tularemia, Plague and Pan Orthopox.

Responder RCI - hand-held Raman chemical identifier

The RespondeR RCI (Raman Chemical Identifier) is a lightweight, hand-held spectrometer for the identification of unknown solids and liquids. This system is the latest addition to join our suite of products designed for use by Military and First Responders.

With over 2,000 Raman spectra including WMD’s, common white powders, common chemicals, explosives and narcotics. This remarkable piece of equipment can also be connected with the HazmatID via Bluetooth connection, to feature a wireless transmission providing more confidence in results.
