NOMAD INCIDENT COMMAND PLATFORM™

Z5 Technologies' NOMAD Incident Command Platform is a man-portable, battery powered, command, control, communications and compute (C4) network platform. It is easily deployed by a single user to create an independent self-configuring, standards-based, non-line-of-sight wireless network with a coverage radius of up to two miles.

The Incident Command Platform provides users with the ability to make a phone call, hold a video teleconference, access remote data and take command of a challenging situation, even in hostile or remote environments without infrastructure.

INTEGRATED MOBILE MESH TECHNOLOGY

With integrated mobile mesh technology, the NOMAD Incident Command Platform instantly creates a self-healing, ad-hoc mesh network (802.11b and future 802.11g and 4.9GHz), capable of providing 10MBps to 54MBps of network bandwidth over vast geographic areas.

The NOMAD Incident Command Platform contains many unique features, including:

MOBILE MESH NETWORKS

Z5 Technologies NOMAD Networks™ are man-portable, rapidly deployable secure mobile mesh networks. NOMAD Networks self-configuring, self-healing, standards-based, non-line-of-sight, completely wireless, broadband based, self-meshing network systems allow for rapid deployment of high-bandwidth applications such as streaming video, IP telephony, environmental sensing and monitoring, geospatial-data management, internet access and incident command.

The mobile mesh NOMAD Network provides geographically dispersed personnel or wireless clients, and access to, or replacement of, telecom and network services that have been disrupted or no longer exists.

VARIED RADIO-FREQUENCY MOBILE MESH NETWORK

Mobile mesh NOMAD Networks are capable of supporting a variety of Radio Frequencies (RF) including 800MHz to 900MHz; 1,800MHz to 1,900MHz; 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz; 4.9GHz (Q3 '07); and 5.725GHz to 5.85GHz. The NOMAD's standard network is configured based on 802.11b (2.4GHz) technology and adaptive networking techniques which create an independent network over a two-mile area.

Z5's NOMAD Networks support secure communications and are fully customizable. Z5 can provide security solutions from software encryption to type I-classified hardware technology.

ALTASEC KG-250 NETWORK ENCRYPTOR

The world's first FI-capable type 1 high-speed IP network encryptor, the AltaSec KG-250 Inline Network Encryptor (INE) offers seamless foreign-interoperability and programmable information-assurance. It is certified by the NSA for use on classified US government communication networks.

L3 TALON DIAL-UP AND ETHERNET SOLUTION

The L3 Talon remote dial-up and Ethernet solution enables users to securely access centralized network-resources at levels up to and including TS/SCI.

Interoperable with both SCIP and HAIPE protocols, it enables use of COTS adapters to enable 56KBps dial-up networking across the PSTN, an RS-232 serial adapter to allow for digital communications up to 115.2KBps and an Ethernet adapter supporting up to 5MBps throughput.

SECTERA™ WIRELINE TERMINAL

The Sectera wireline-terminal compact, lightweight, portable device connects to a standard analog desktop-phone or personal computer, providing end-to-end security and helping protect proprietary information at the office, home or while traveling.

The Sectera provides US type 1 encryption and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), approved as a replacement for the Data Encryption Standard (DES), to protect sensitive and private communications.
