UNICOM Crisis Management System

PNR-500
The second level of Tadiran Communications’ Homeland Security solutions is the PNR-500. The unique full duplex wireless conference system in the PNR-500, allows a number of different security groups to employ one network channel, simultaneously and independently transmitting to unlimited listeners for new levels of mission coordination.
The basic PNR-500 allows 3 operatives to simultaneously transmit to unlimited listeners on each of its fifteen single frequency channels. In the PNR-500’s advanced Dynamic Network Architecture (DNA) option, new TDMA technology operates 4 separate sub-channels on each of the 15 channels. With each sub-channel supporting its own independent conference ability, the entire PNR-500 DNA network enables dozens of simultaneous transmissions and unlimited numbers of listeners – such ultimate multiple mission coordination can be divided for example between security, firefighting and ambulance services.
The PNR-500 is capable of supporting all the latest communication protocols: data communication, live video transmission to combat computers, embedded or external GPS, advanced encryption for secure communications, and Bluetooth wireless headsets and PTTs. The PNR-500 weighs less than 360 grams including a rechargeable battery that enables continuous operation for 12 hours without recharging.
Wireless Accessories
Tadiran Communications’ mission critical Wireless Accessories are lightweight, flexible solutions that allow individual security operatives to function at a distance from their radios, thereby enabling them to move around more freely and easily, and promptly respond to terrorist threats
The family of wireless devices suits a wide range of applications, including: short-range wireless connections between radios and headset/handset; wireless radio remote control; wireless data transfer between tactical computers and radios; short-range wireless voice and data operation for field level units, command posts, communication shelters and Armed and Special Forces.
Ruggedized PDAs (RPDA)
The RPDA is highly suitable for homeland security operations as it provides the same functional capabilities as the commercial PDAs, including a wide variety of commercial and proprietary applications, on one hand, while being able to withstand harsh environmental conditions that may exist in the arena on the other. One example is that in which the RPDA accommodates and integrates a nuclear detection device. With this nuclear radiation detection capability the RPDA assists in protecting borders and ports from terrorist threat of ‘dirty bombs’ and contaminated cargos. Small and lightweight for maximum user ease and comfort, the RPDA can detect both the level of radiation and its precise source of origin (thanks to an embedded GPS system) and it can work equally efficiently from either short range or from distances of up to tens of meters. This RPDA function is based on an application developed by Israel’s Atomic Development Authority.
