Expanded Deployment of Snapshield’s Secure Communication Solutions by TELEFONICA SOLUCIONES SARL in Spain

Approval of the Snapsoft client for GSM based Smartphone, expansion of existing deployments as well as additional deployments at other Spanish regional governments.
Snapshield Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tadiran Communications, today announced an expanded deployment of its solutions by Telefónica Soluciones SARL in the Spanish market.
The initial deployment announced in September 2004, has been expanded within the Regional Government of Madrid, and deployed at other regional governments within Spain. The scope of the solution has also been expanded to include Snapsoft – a software client for GSM based Smartphone, which allows subscribers to initiate and receive secure voice, SMS and instant messaging. In addition the Snapsoft client allows secure file transfer.
The Snapshield solution allows users to conduct and manage secure voice and fax communications using the existing access network and standard commercially available GSM handsets, smartphones and CPE equipment.
