Rajant Corporation, the pioneer of Kinetic Mesh Networks and provider of proven, multi-frequency mesh networking solutions, today announced a teaming agreement with Northrop Grumman Corporation, a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions in unmanned systems, cybersecurity, C4ISR, and logistics and modernization to government and commercial customers worldwide.
Under terms of the agreement, Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector and Rajant have agreed to exclusively team on development of Advanced Meshnet Technology (AMT) networks with Advanced End-User-Devices (EUDs) for a series of risk-reduction exercises, culminating in the U.S. Army Network Integration Evaluations (NIE) and the initial follow-on development or production program.
"Over the past several years, Rajant has worked closely with Northrop Grumman on several programs and has found the Northrop Team to be exceptional. We look forward to successfully completing this development project," noted Rajant Founder and CEO Robert Schena.
"Northrop Grumman chose Rajant as a partner as a result of our past experiences with Rajant. We have found their technology to be extremely reliable and fully expect our joint efforts on this program to meet the military's requirements," said Daniel Verwiel, Director of the Tactical Mission Command operating unit for Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector.
Northrop Grumman Information Systems honored Rajant as a Top Supplier in November 2011 and again in December 2012. The awards program acknowledges suppliers whose quality products and services help bring superior value to Northrop Grumman and its government and commercial customers.
Selected vendors must meet Northrop Grumman's exacting criteria for schedule, management performance and responsiveness, technical performance, financial performance and mission assurance.
Rajant Solutions for Defense
Military and defense personnel continually grapple with the complexities of establishing and maintaining broadband communications in a dynamic tactical and mobile Concept of Operations (ConOps). With computers and richer, high-bandwidth communications now central to military operations, reliable, resilient and secure wireless broadband is more vital than ever.
Rajant Kinetic Mesh Networking technology is the ideal solution for a variety of military applications because of its rugged construction, ease of deployment and support, and adaptability to the most challenging network environments.
Specifically developed for rugged terrains and harsh physical environments, Rajant's Kinetic Mesh Networking technology and InstaMesh protocol provide proven, mission-critical communications - with all nodes in motion and under hostile and unpredictable conditions.
Rajant solutions are based on the flexible, resilient combination of BreadCrumb wireless, portable mesh networking nodes and InstaMesh software, which enable continuous and instantaneous routing of wireless and wired connections. This dynamic frequency utilization capability allows for total network mobility - Kinetic Meshing - as well as robust fault tolerance, high throughput and low latency.
