Innovative Concepts announces the release of Personal Computer Improved Data Modem Version 2.90 (PCIDM® V2.90).

Innovative Concepts' latest release incorporates VMF MIL-STD-6017, support for IP over MIL-STD-188-184, Windows CE support, improved Linux support, and enhanced FalconView™ integration software (DigiTAC™).
Displaying its ongoing commitment to provide truly interoperable data link technology, Innovative Concepts announces the release of PCIDM® V2.90. The PCIDM® is a low cost, portable, data communications solution comprised of a single Type 2 Extended PCMCIA card, paired with a software development kit (SDK) for Windows, Linux, and Windows CE and application software for Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP and CE. The protocols available with the PCIDM® are the same protocols used in all other IDM Technology® products providing fully certified interoperability with any Innovative Concepts' designed IDM Technology® offering. With a PCIDM® and a computer, a user can send and receive VMF, AFAPD, TACFIRE, MTS, IDL, and MIL-STD-188-184 SATCOM messages over virtually any tactical digital or analog radio. This allows combat elements to utilize their existing inventory of tactical radios to communicate with multiple platforms that support these same message sets.
PCIDM® V2.90 incorporates the following updates:
* Official Support for VMF MIL-STD-6017: displaying ICI's commitment to offer the latest and most up-to-date VMF support available.
* IP Over MIL-STD-188-184: allowing users to pass IP traffic over their MIL SATCOM links. This feature is in addition to the exiting Notes and E-Mail support for MIL-STD-188-184 released in previous versions.
* Windows CE Support: intended for use on the iPAQ, RPDA, and other ARM-based PDAs that run Windows CE. PCIDM® SDK support for Window CE and AMPGUI CE is included in this release and provides a facility to configure the PCIDM® on Window CE and limited AFAPD messaging,. PCIDM® V2.90 includes support for both Windows CE 3.0 ARM and Windows CE 4.2 ARM.
* Improved Linux Support for Linux Version 2.6 Kernels on x86 Based Processors: PCIDM® V2.90 adds support for the latest Linux 2.6 kernel while retaining support for the older Linux 2.4 kernel.
* Enhanced DigiTAC™ with Improved FalconView™ 3.3 Integration (VMF and AFAPD): DigiTAC™ provides integrated mission management for AFAPD and VMF based systems including the AH-64D Apache Longbows and IDM-equipped F-16's. DigiTAC™ combines the messaging capability of AMPGUI with the combat proven mapping and mission management capabilities of FalconView™. The result is an application that provides users with a complete C2 toolset that integrates communications, mapping, mission management, and messaging. The DigiTAC™ version released with PCIDM® version V2.90 is now a fully licensable product and is sold separately from the PCIDM®.
