LIGHT VEHICLE INTERCOM SYSTEM (LVIS®)

Light Vehicle Intercom System (LVIS), is a simplified, compact, and rugged system which provides reliable intercommunications and radio interface for crews of light strike and reconnaissance vehicle and vessels. Our basic system accommodates up to four crewmembers and connects up to three radios. Gentex offers various headwear to compliment LVIS, including ballistic helmets and noise-attenuating headsets.

LVIS V5

The LVIS v5 is a compact intercom system for tactical vehicle crew intercommunications and radio access. LVIS is lightweight, rugged and highly reliable.

LVIS provides crisp, clear, full duplex intercommunications among up to five crewmembers with a 28dB range of listening volume. DC power through the crew member connection ports enables the use of Active Noise Reduction (ANR) equipped headgear.

Radio access can also be configured separately for each crewmember during installation to enable or disable transmit and receive capabilities over a connected radio system. When more than one crewmember has radio-transmit enabled, LVIS provides commander radio-transmit priority.

INTERCOM CONTROL BOX

CREW CONNECTION POINT

The crew connection point remotes a crew connection and avoids a long cable safety-hazard.

DUAL PTT ADAPTER

The dual PTT adapter enables dismounted use of headwear traditionally used on mounted-only applications: simply pop the lower retractile cord and go.

It has a dual intercom mode selector compatible with LVIS, VIC-1, VIC-2, and VIC-3 (VIS) intercom systems, and allows personnel to dismount from the vehicle and still maintain communications through a portable radio.

BOOM MICROPHONES AND MICROPHONE CAPSULES

M-176 OXYGEN MASK MICROPHONE

The M-176 oxygen mask microphone is designed for US Navy rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, and aircraft utilizing 28V mic bias. The M-176 replaces the M-169/AIC and AM-7067 A/A and mounts to any standard 12-P or 20 series oxygen mask. Meeting MIL-DTL-32015/2, the M-176 oxygen mask microphone has EMI / RFI resistance to 200V/m.

M-177 WIRE BOOM MICROPHONE

The M-177 wire boom microphone is also for US Navy rotary and fixed wing aircraft, and aircraft utilizing 28V mic bias. The M-177 wire boom microphone replaces the M-87/AIC and AM-3597 C/A. The M-177 includes wire boom cable and windscreen, meets MIL-DTL-32015/1 and has EMI / RFI resistance to 200V/m.
