Enterprise Control Systems Provide British Grand Prix with Downlink Equipment

The phenomenon that is Lewis Hamilton drew in the crowds in record numbers for this years British Grand Prix in Silverstone and ECS were contracted to help monitor the traffic situation throughout the three day event.
ECS are situated close to the Formula 1 racetrack and have been working with Silverstone for a decade providing video surveillance equipment to enable traffic observation, and ultimately ensuring the smooth running of fans traveling to and from the racetrack.
ECS provided a Digital COFDM Downlink system for Silverstone’s helicopter that linked back to a COFDM receiver located within the racetrack. This gave Silverstone officials the ability to know exactly what the traffic situation was at any given moment during the event.
