AMTI - Communications Equipment, Cargo Restraint and Expandable Shelter

AMTI provides global solutions for an unsettled world. We provide the US and allied military, government agencies and law enforcement with products and services for homeland security and the global War on Terror.

We design and build an array of products ranging from communications equipment to surveillance, reconnaissance and IED detect-and-defeat robots. AMTI also offers custom engineering, communication systems integration and vehicle integration support.

As a result of our acquisition in December 2006, AMTI is now an operation of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Accordingly, we enjoy wider access to SAIC personnel, technology, information and expertise. At the same time, we maintain our management team, skilled subject matter experts and technical expertise.

MILITARY POWER AMPLIFIERS

Alpha series 50-watt and 20-watt amplifiers provide full-rated power across the entire 50 – 312 MHz frequency range, not some of the time but all of the time. And there are no band splits either. Alpha series amps also offer true HAVEQUICK and SINCGARS compatibility. They will not inadvertently jam other friendly networks.

ANCILLARY COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT

Other products include the A-301 satellite radio combiner that is ideal for SATCOM on the move applications where limited antenna availability may hinder operations. The A-304 carry-on intercom system allows the user to talk to pilot and crew via the intercom and enables access to any radio component on the same intercom station. The P-501 power adapter prevents catastrophic damage to the MBITR radio when using BA-5390 and similar batteries. Think of it as life support for your MBITR radio investment.

DATA CABLE ASSEMBLIES

Both standardized and customizable configurations are available. We provide audio, data controller and other connectivity to the AN/PRC-148 MBITR and Harris RF-5800 Falcon II Series handheld radios.

Water and dust impairs the function of connectors between the AN/PRC-152 and ancillary equipment. AMTI has introduced a new cable line (C-600 Series) featuring an environmentally sealed connector that provides a high level of EMI suppression that minimizes interference from today's high speed signals.

The connector weighs less than one ounce. Aside from PRC-152 related cables, AMTI also offers customized designs for other cable connectivity.

QUICKLOCK CARGO RESTRAINT SYSTEM

This product is quite different from traditional cargo restraint products. By providing up to 60 tie-down points per square foot, it allows for secure tie-down of almost any cargo shape or design. Quicklock has been selected as a C4ISR solution for the US Army and US Marine Corps and is installed on thousands of military vehicles and also used on maritime craft, commercial trucks and trailers. It is also incorporated into an MRAP II vehicle design.

EXPANDABLE SHELTER SYSTEM (ESS)

ESS is a completely self-sufficient, modular platform that scales from eight feet wide by 20ft long to 20ft by 24ft facility with its own electrical and environmental support. It deploys by truck, rail or air. Multiple shelters can be connected. Open floor plans allow you to configure interiors to meet your needs. It is suitable for use as a lab or analysis unit, personnel quarters, field hospital, communications center, field kitchen and much more.

IED TRAINING DEVICES

Using our ability to quickly get first-hand intelligence from the field, we have provided rapid prototyping and manufacturing in designing static and fully-functional devices. The product line also covers special weapons/WMD training devices. A line of "urban" IED devices are also ideal for homeland security and law enforcement applications.

SURVEILLANCE, RECONNAISSANCE AND IED DETECT AND DEFEAT ROBOTS

Two versions are available. One is disposable and carries a charge on its deck. A more robust, reusable design, the R500e, provides both extended range (up to 1,000ft) and extended battery life. It utilizes a disposable trailer to carry up to a 25lb charge. The trailer can also be used to carry other items such as a sensor or ammunitions.
