Schonstedt Announces Availability of Rechargeable Lithium Batteries for UXO Clearance

In response to demand from users of Schonstedt Instrument Company's GA-52Cx and GA-72Cd magnetic locators, the company now offers rechargeable lithium batteries. The nine-volt batteries provide 500mAh of service - the highest capacity on the market - yielding about 14 hours of operation on a charge.
A special feature of the battery is its non-magnetic plastic casing, which, unlike a metal casing, will not interfere with the locating instruments' magnetic sensors.
The company also offers a nine-volt lithium battery charger for charging up to four batteries at a time. The charger automatically switches from a 120V to a 240V source and charges in about one-and-a-half hours. It includes the universal power adapter (AC100V~240V) and a car adapter cord (DC-12V). International plug adapters can also be ordered from Schonstedt.
