Schonstedt - Hand-Held Magnetometers for Munitions Response

Schonstedt Instrument Company is the world's leading manufacturer of hand-held Fluxgate magnetometers for Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) and weapons detection. The GA-52Cx, GA-72Cd and GA-92XT are the magnetic locators of choice for EOD technicians and law enforcement personnel worldwide.

Schonstedt magnetometers find ferrous metal targets used in landmines, Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), buried ordnance, other Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC), and hidden weapons. They have been tested and proven by the US military, private contractors and NGOs in munitions response operations around the globe.

GA-52CX – MAGNETIC ORDNANCE LOCATOR

The GA-52Cx magnetic locator detects the magnetic field of iron and steel objects such as UXO and other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW), as well as concealed weapons and munitions. The GA-52Cx magnetic locator has been the industry standard for more than 35 years and is the most popular ordnance locator on the market.

Patented HeliFlux® sensor technology allows for target detection at greater depths, without interference from nonferrous metals such as aluminium, brass or copper. The piezoelectric speaker provides a clear, sharp signal for pinpoint locating accuracy. Unmatched sensitivity and ease of operation reduces search time and increases operational effectiveness.

GA-72CD – FERROUS METAL DETECTOR

In addition to an audio signal, the GA-72CD features a digital readout and expanding bar-graph display of signal strength and polarity. This allows the user to visually pinpoint the target, and, in many cases, determine its orientation.

The GA-72CD is the first gradiometer to use environmentally-friendly lithium batteries, which have twice the life of alkaline batteries and a ten-year shelf life.

GA-92XT – PORTABLE MAGNETOMETER

Fifteen months of research, design, and testing has produced the new Schonstedt XT, the most portable magnetic ordnance locator ever made.

The GA-92XT is a hip-holstered ordnance locator that leaves both hands free for other tasks as necessary. It offers fingertip control of volume and sensitivity, and one-handed operation in both retracted and extended modes.
