27 February 2006 14:49

Allen-Vanguard, a global leader in solutions to mitigate security threats from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) situations and devices, is showcasing a selection of its signature products at SOFEX 2006, which is taking place in Amman, Jordan on 27-30th March.

The Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference 2006 (SOFEX) provides a great opportunity to exhibit, forge alliances and network at the Middle East and North Africa’s second largest defence exhibition. The exhibition is expected to attract over 250 exhibiting companies and organisations from throughout the world.

The heightened threat of terrorist activity means security teams need ever more sophisticated equipment and pre-emptive security measures. Allen-Vanguard’s products have been developed in response to current demands after close consultation with end-users.

All products are currently being used by authorities worldwide, and range from high-risk search tools to CBRN-capable proofed Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs):

“Exhibitions form an essential part of Allen-Vanguard’s work”, explained Roy Peers-Smith, managing director of Allen-Vanguard. “They enable us to network face-to-face and foster powerful and lasting relationships. They also help us research the market and work out what the future requirements of defence industry end-users may be, thereby assisting our product development.

"SOFEX is a great example of this co-operation in action as we are working closely with DESO, which is a hugely influential organisation. Such close collaboration is essential within our industry where working together assists the overall aim of creating safer environments".
