Dok-ing - Remote-Controlled Mine Clearance MachinesDOK-ING is a privately-owned Croatian company, established in 1992 and registered for the production of robots and equipment for special purposes. Today, DOK-ING is the largest private demining company in south-eastern Europe, and one of the international leaders in the production of machinery for landmine clearance and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). DOK-ING is EN ISO 9001:2000 certified, and has the capacity to perform mechanically-assisted mine clearance of approximately 1,000,000m² per month, and produce around 50 mine clearance machines per year. The product range includes the MV-4 mini mine-clearing system, the MV-10 double tool medium mine-clearing system, the MVD dozer, and various armoured excavators used for ground preparation and vegetation clearance activities. DOK-ING's first mine clearance machine was constructed in 1996, since when over 60 remote-controlled machines have been produced. Satisfied purchasers of DOK-ING machinery include national mine-action bodies, non-governmental humanitarian organisations, commercial demining companies, and various armed forces MV-4 MINI MINE-CLEARING SYSTEMThe MV-4 mini mine-clearing system is designed to clear various types of terrain containing Anti-Personnel (AP) mines. Because of its dimensions and manoeuvrability, it is suitable for demining house yards, woods, forest paths, river banks and other types of terrain that are inaccessible to larger machines. The operating tool for digging and mine clearance consists of a flail and roller mounted in front of the machine that destroy even the smallest anti-personnel mines and the most dangerous types of jumping / bouncing anti-personnel mines. The high performance system provides safety for the deminers and dog teams that follow the mechanical clearance. The system is light (5.31t), has excellent cross-country performance, and is operated by remote control. The force of the flail hammers is calculated to enable cutting through dense vegetation and digging into soil to a depth of 20cm. Strict requirements have been set in the development of this light machine, such as safe clearance of anti-personnel mines, intensive use in the most severe working conditions, ability to work on soil with a hardness rating in the first to fourth category, ability to work in extremely high temperatures, high performance, modular design, the lowest possible maintenance requirements, and environmental protection. Due to its small dimensions, very good manoeuvrability, high engine power, and low track-ground pressure, the DOK-ING MV-4 can operate in almost all conditions. The clearing productivity is up to 2,000m² per hour. MV-10 DOUBLE TOOL MEDIUM MINE-CLEARING SYSTEMThe MV-10 double tool medium mine-clearing system is designed to clear various types of terrain containing Anti-Personnel (AP) mines, Anti-Tank (AT) mines and Unexploded Ordnance (UXO). Because of its huge power and excellent clearance rate, it is suitable for mine clearance of huge areas contaminated with all types of mines and UXO. The operating tools for digging and mine clearance consist of a flail unit and tiller unit in front of the machine that destroy all types of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines and unexploded ordnance. The MV-10 is operated by a single machine operator via remote control. The system has a capacity for penetrating the soil in depth of up to 60cm, depending on the type of soil. Because of its small dimensions, excellent manoeuvrability, high engine power, and low track-ground pressure, the DOK-ING MV-10 can work year round in almost all conditions. The clearing productivity is up to 5,000m² per hour. MVD DOZERThe MVD dozer is designed as an Extra Low Profile (XLP), Remote Controlled (RC) system for multiple uses, such as underground mining application, the building and construction industry, and military and defence missions. Its low profile and remote controlled operation make it suitable for multi-purpose tasks and missions. Based on the South African mining sector's requirement for an extra low-profile system, it was initially designed for cost-effective mechanised mining of narrow stopes. This includes operations of clearing stopes after blasting. Advantages compared with conventional stoping methods include a significant improvement in productivity, a major improvement in safety, and greatly reduced stoping costs. It is controlled by a single operator using a simple hand controller. Strict requirements have been set in the development of this machine, such as intensive use in the most severe working conditions, ability to work in extremely high temperatures, high performance, modular design, the lowest possible maintenance requirements, and environmental protection.
