New all-time-high order for Aimpoint CompM2 sights
Aimpoint®, the world leader and innovator of red dot sighting technology, has been awarded with a new contract for the supply of sights to the US Military, announced Lennart Ljungfelt, President. More than 280,000 Aimpoint sights are already in operation with US Forces.
The new order includes delivery of more than 100,000 sights of the Aimpoint CompM2 model, which is operated by US Forces under the name M68. “The Aimpoint CompM2 sight has been in operation with the US forces and many other military organisations worldwide for several years. It is a user-friendly, soldier-tested and combat proven sight that increases the effectiveness of the individual soldier” said Ljungfelt. “In addition, the Aimpoint CompM2 can operate up to 10,000 hours – which is more than a year – on a single standard DL 1/3 battery. This feature makes our sight the most reliable on the market, and implies that only minimal logistical support is required to troops deployed in remote areas”.
In 2005, Aimpoint will celebrate its 30th anniversary with the launch of additional new innovative products.
