Easy-to-Attach 3XMag Used in Enduring Freedom
Aimpoint®, the world leader and innovator of red dot sighting technology, is introducing a magnifying attachment announced Lennart Ljungfelt, President of Aimpoint.
The 3XMag was developed by Aimpoint for professional use and has been combat tested in the Enduring Freedom campaign in Afghanistan.
"Now, the company is introducing this same product for consumers. Our red dot sighting is universally recognized as the most effective and efficient system in the world. We are pleased to now offer a magnifying attachment that provides maximum flexibility and increased performance in the field," said Ljungfelt.
Designed to be compatible with all Aimpoint sights, the 3XMag is particularly suited for the successful CompM2 (M68). It uses the red dot of the CompM2 while offering the operator a greatly extended range. It also makes re-zeroing unnecessary which allows for quick and easy targeting at longer ranges.
In addition to the magnifying attachment, Aimpoint has also developed a patented new mount called Aimpoint TwistMount. This allows the operator to switch from semi-sniping to close quarter battle in a split of a second.
"With these two products, we are now offering the best of two worlds. By using our sights and attachments, the same firearm can quickly be transformed to adapt to the situation," added Ljungfelt. "The result is increased confidence and performance."
