About DPGDS
The DPGDS is an air transportable electrical power generation and distribution system that provides electrical power for a variety of military missions ranging from support of a small military outpost to a fully operational, forward deployed airbase. The 920-kw DPGDS is a joint U.S. Army and Air Force program designed as a replacement for existing 750-kilowatt sets that incorporate outdated technology. This is inefficient and requires excessive maintenance costs. In contrast, the DPGDS power units have high power density, are 25% lighter and 15% more fuel efficient, and possess increased reliability and maintainability and can be tailored to a wide variety of missions.
