Gilep is a consortium composed of many companies that design and develop equipment and products needed for efficient military POL (Petrol, Oil, Lubricants) logistics. TANKS FOR FUEL STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

Gilep members specialize in the design and development of collapsible storage tanks, transportation tanks and refueling hoses. Their diverse range of regular tank trucks cover small capacity semi-trailers and aircraft fuelers.

Gilep collapsible storage tanks have a capacity range of 1m³ to 450m³ and are suited to the rapid deployment of fuel and water storage depots. They are all made from high performance synthetic fabrics coated with elastomers and are resistant to hydrocarbons, dampness and micro-organisms.

Transportation tanks range from 20 litre capacity to 10,000 litre capacity. An example is the 100 litre fuel tank. It is designed to increase autonomy of troop carrying vehicles by increasing operational range by an average of 1,000km.

SEPARATION FILTERS AND DISTRIBUTION UNITS

With over 75 years experience of filtering technology the makers of these items have developed high quality products for use in oil and fuel applications, these include:

LIQUID TURBINE METERS

Gilep members have designed a range of state-of-the-art liquid turbine meters for fuel tankers, airport refuelers and loading racks. Developed to give accurate measurement of low to medium viscosity liquids, its concept, in addition to weight and space saving, improves installation and the transfer of liquid hydrocarbons.

METER ACCESSORIES

Available products include a wide range of meter accessory units that can be adapted to meet specific metering requirements. These products include:

• Strainers, these are mounted in line, thus reducing head loss and are easily serviceable
• Strainer air eliminators, the system is designed to eliminate air, gas and particles from liquid
• Flow governors, these reduce flow fluctuations caused by differences in liquid levels or simultaneous use of multiple loading arms
• Additive injection pumps, these allow the injection of additives at the required ratios
• Pulse transmitters, enable the remote transmission of metering data to an automation system
