Cignys - Ground Support Equipment, Trailers and Mobility Platforms

Founded in 1919, Cignys continues today as a diverse manufacturer of ground support equipment, trailers and mobility systems for the aerospace and defense, automotive, and medical industries.

Cignys’ in-house capabilities include design, machining, welding, assembly and CARC painting. Located 100 miles north of Detroit, with more than 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space, our state-of-the-art facilities are fully equipped for capabilities such as EDM wire, water jet cutting, robotic welding and up to five-axis machining. All of our services are fully AS and ISO-certified, and combine quality with affordability.

Military container mobilizers

Cignys has developed a high speed ISO container mobilizer with a 30,000lb gross vehicle weight. Each end of the unit is individually adjustable from ground level to 32in ground clearance. The unit is suitable for all terrain operations. The mobilizer is truck-transportable and is certified to speeds of 55mph.

Military shelter mobilizers

Cignys also manufactures a high speed S-280 shelter mobilizer with a 15,600lb gross vehicle weight. The mobilizer provides towed transport for S-280 shelters and pallets that have been configured to be transported by M-720 mobilizers. Each end of the unit is individually adjustable to 24in ground clearance. The unit is suitable for all terrain operations. The mobilizer is truck transportable and is certified to speeds of 55mph.

Ground support equipment (GSE)

Cignys also supplies a range of industry-certified ground support equipment, including:

• Axles - single, dual and rear steer of up to 50,000lb capacity
• Running gears up to 50,000lb capacity
• Trailers and mobility platforms

Cignys can custom design and build mobility systems and platforms to complement your equipment requirements. Capabilities include:

• Trailer capacities from 500lb through to 50,000lb
• Lever or tow bar actuated parking brakes
• Built to print, or a design to meet your requirements

Caster, leveling and shelter jacks

Cignys supplies a wide range of custom-designed jacks, including caster jacks, leveling jacks and shelter jacks. Our experienced engineering and sales departments are on hand to help you design a jack to your exact specifications.
