Automotive Management Services are proud to announce the award for systems upgrade on the vehicle fleet of the US Embassy Kabul. Due to the specialized nature of the upgrades and the critical time frames within which they had to be completed, only AMS were deemed to have the technical expertise and designs to accomplish this on a national level.
The armored vehicle fleet, numbering in excess of 300, will receive upgrades to existing electrical systems including customized armoring to enhance protection. The upgrades will increase functionality to the vehicles tracking, video, communications and ECM (anti weapon detection systems) equipment.
As part of the upgrade the vehicles will also receive a front and rear suspension enhancement due to the additional weight of the new systems and the associated protective devices. A major consideration for award was that AMS were able to guarantee a vehicle turnaround time of 24hrs for completion of upgrade and associated works.
Due to AMS having extensive experience with advanced vehicle systems and the ability to work in a time critical manner, the award was made on a sole source basis.
