Automotive Management Services is proud to announce that the company has been awarded the Transportation Motor Pool Maintenance, Management and Logistical Services contract in Afghanistan by the Government Services Agency (GSA).

The contract, known as TMP, will manage and maintain a non-tactical motor pool fleet in support of the US military. The deployment of these GSA vehicles will see the phasing out of their existing rental fleet in favor of US Government owned vehicles.

The TMP will initially be rolled out to support major US Coalition Bases throughout the country, with a tactical and non-tactical vehicle fleet of 2,100. This will then be followed by a further 11 sites covering all major US Military operations in Afghanistan.

Each TMP site will see both the management and maintenance of the new vehicles including the management of the existing GSA fleet and its associated phase out. The total GSA fleet will reach a density in excess of 5,000 armored and non-armored vehicles throughout Afghanistan.

The full and open competition award was made on the determination of overall 'best value' to the GSA with regards to technical capability, management capability, past performance and price.
