When selecting stretchers, the primary concerns for emergency and search and rescue teams are size and weight. To this aim, Shoshana-Metal developed the EMSCompact stretcher, our flagship state-of-the-art eight-fold stretcher. It is a revolution in emergency medical equipment engineering. Weighting only 5kg (11lbs), it folds to an astonishing 50cm (19.7ins) in height, so that it slips neatly into its backpack case, leaving personnel's hands free to deal with any emergency. The EMSCompact stretcher is the lightest and most compact and flexible stretcher available in the EMS market today. When every second matters and rescue personnel have an increasingly heavy load to carry, you can count on the EMSCompact to allow them to get on with the job of saving lives. EMSCOMPACT EIGHT-FOLD BATTLEFIELD STRETCHERIts compact size makes the EMSCompact stretcher an ideal battlefield stretcher in terms of easy carrying in a backpack and the convenience of storage in military vehicles and facilities. It is significantly lighter than any of the other emergency stretchers in the market today. The special mechanism of the EMSCompact stretcher is very simple to understand and to use, and operating it should not take more than approximately 7s to 10s. PORTABLE FOLDING EMERGENCY RESCUE STRETCHERThe features that make the EMSCompact stretcher an ideal battlefield stretcher also make it an excellent stretcher for a wide range of EMS sectors, including rescue and evacuation organisations; mass casualty and disaster management; the Red Cross; fire departments; police; the United Nations; industrial use and more. CBRN RESCUE OPERATION STRETCHERThe CBRN EMSCompact stretcher was developed to meet the specific operational requirements of the CBRN threat, which has become even more relevant in the recent decade, showing the world how crucial it is to be well equipped and prepared in order to respond quickly and safely to CBRN attacks to ensure minimal casualties. The features of the CBRN EMSCompact stretcher are based on technical specifications received from the US military. These include a much stronger stretcher with a weight load capacity of 350kg; intensive worldwide market research to ensure the best chemical-resistant mesh fabric is used. The advantages of this mesh fabric include a superb chemical resistance for decontamination when exposed to industrial chemicals and CBRN warfare agents; an excellent melting point of 633°F; and very good abrasion resistance. EMSCOMPACT STRETCHER ON WHEELSIsrael Defence Forces presented Shoshana-Metal with the problem of evacuating patients in a mass casualty event, when the lack of sufficient manpower is one of the biggest concerns. In such a situation, a stretcher that only requires one person to carry it is essential. The EMSCompact stretcher on wheels not only addresses the above problem, but also provides a solution to the challenge created by stretchers with wheels: how does one ensure a safe and smooth carrying of the injured patient, who is obviously in a lot of pain, especially when it comes to stairs? The unique device of the EMSCompact stretcher on wheels is composed of wheels and a special sliding part; the special mechanism enables smooth descending and mounting of stairs without any bumps being transmitted to the patient.
