New Shelter Concept Operational

The Norwegian Army recently took delivery of 41 nos of Quick Shelters to support its Afghanistan operations. The Quick Shelters, being delivered by Uniteam International of Oslo, are extremely lightweight 20' shelters designed to meet requirements for low transportation volume. 14 shelters can be moved in a C-130/Transall AC or by one semi truck. The shelter development is a result of increased demand for rapid deployable facilities to accommodate both troops and operational tasks in diverse climatic conditions. The delivered Quick Shelters will offer the Norwegian Army personel with airconditioned/heated facilities that can be redeployed multiple times in minutes and transported with a minimum of effort. The Quick Shelter is one of several components in Uniteam's new Rapid Deployment Concept to meet the challenges of future deployments in remote locations and the demand for redeployable, cost efficient solutions.
