20 September 2007 16:22

Uniteam quick shelter is the most innovative and adaptable portable accommodation unit ever developed, manufactured by Uniteam in Norway to high quality standards and demanding technical specifications.

Uniteam's basic idea of developing the Quick Shelter was to have an accommodation unit with low weight, using very little transportation space. It can be erected less than in two minutes using simple crane or forklift equipment, and is easy to erect/dismantle without requiring tools and without having loose parts. 14 units may be transported on one truck.

The Quick Shelter is now in use on a test basis around the world and has been constantly developed to satisfy a wide range of clients and many different accommodation needs including:

This versatility and flexibility has been helpful in the design of remote camps worldwide for many major international companies and organizations, on projects in diverse industrial sectors and field environments.

Uniteam 'Quick Shelter' is constructed from composite panels of 1mm Aluminium sheets with a polystyrene core fixed to an aluminium structure, combining light weight, strength and durability with excellent thermal and acoustic values. The cabins have standard lengths of 5,40 m, and may be delivered in alternative lengths of 6,04 m.

The aluminium profiles have fixing rails in floors and ceilings. Uniteam has constructed special equipment packages, which can easily be attached to these rails on a 'clip-on' basis without tools. These packages comprise of variable shelve systems, folded beds which easily can be converted to sofas, office shelves with desktop, etc.
