Container manufacture

Smart Box specialises in the manufacture of high quality container-based products. Being modular in shape and structurally strong, these units are quick to manufacture, easy to transport and fast to assemble on any habitat on earth. Containers used are primarily 20ft or 40ft high cube ISO marine containers which have the capability to be stacked up to seven units high.

Weather-resistant containers

All containers are made of Corten (weathering) steel and painted with marine grade exterior paint, thereby, creating a perfect weather resistant (salt water, rain, wind, earthquake and fire) product that can be customised to the user’s specific requirements in order to construct a wide range of solutions ranging from individual units to more complex joined and multi-storey constructions at an optimum cost - time value.

Pre-engineered container construction

Pre-engineered container construction has a lower cost and carbon footprint when compared to a finished structure built by other labour-intensive means such as bricks and mortar - which also require larger, more expensive foundations.
