Rubb Buildings - Rapid Deployment Military Shelters, Aircraft Sunshades and HangarsRubb Building Systems designs and manufactures engineered fabric structures of the highest quality. Our relocatable fabric structures are designed, manufactured and erected in a manner that meets or exceeds ISO 9001 registered standards. From start to finish, quality is the benchmark for every element of the Rubb process. RAPID ENVIRONMENTAL MILITARY SHELTERSThe Rapid Environmental Shelter (RES) is a revolutionary new concept from Rubb Building Systems. It is lighter, stronger, faster to erect and more compact to transport than any other similar military shelter structure in the industry. The RES military shelter is available in two standard sizes: a 20.4m span and a 25m span. The entire structure – with a width of 20.4m and overall length of 30m – will fit into one single 20ft ISO container. The larger 25m span structure, which has an overall length of 36m, will fit into two 20ft ISO containers. ALUMINIUM MILITARY SHELTERSThe RES' structure is designed in aluminium; it is the first time Rubb has used its aluminium trident door in its military structures. This military shelter is also available with various door options:
RAPID-DEPLOYMENT STRUCTURES FOR ALL ENVIRONMENTSThe RES is the latest in large, rapid-deployment structures. It is designed to withstand high snow and wind loads, allowing it to be used in virtually any operational environment. Numerous RES structures have been ordered by the RAF and US Army for covering both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. This military shelter has been developed for rapid deployment and erection using a minimum workforce of eight trained personnel. The whole system can be built and operational within ten hours, without the aid of any mechanical lifting equipment. RAPID DEPLOYMENT MILITARY SHELTERSRapid supply, deployment and relocation is the key to rapid response. In-line with the establishment of Britain's new Rapid Deployment Force – created to provide a quick response to crises around the world – Rubb has designed a range of Rapid Deployment Shelters (RDSs). This military shelter was originally manufactured to meet United Nations requirements for Sierra Leone, when a total of 115 6m x 6m shelters were needed within an eight-week period. There are four main benefits to an RDS:
The RDS is a direct result of Rubb's policy of continuous research and development to help meet rapidly changing military requirements. The RDS has been further refined and is now available in lightweight and heavyweight versions to meet varying weather conditions. AIRCRAFT AND HELICOPTER SUNSHADESRubb aircraft and helicopter sunshades are manufactured from single box sections and are available in a variety of sizes: 18m x 18m x 6.5m; 12m x 16m x 5m; 23m x 18m x 5m; and 23m x 18m x 7m. Over 100 such canopies are used in the Middle East, accommodating aircraft as large as twin-rotor helicopters. These simple but effective aircraft sunshades are ideal in hot climates for protecting aircraft and keeping maintenance staff cool working in the heat of the day. The high-quality white fabric helps to reflect the heat of the sun. MILITARY AIRCRAFT HANGARSRubb has over 30 years' experience in manufacturing, supplying and building aircraft hangars for military use. Speed of erection and low costs are attractive benefits, and given their military applications, the ability to relocate anywhere in the world is of great importance. The size of the structure is no problem to Rubb, as we can supply both small personnel shelters and large aircraft hangars. Whatever your military shelter requirement may be, don't hesitate to contact Rubb Building Systems.
