MODULAR BUILDINGS FOR BASE CAMP OPERATIONS

Nova’s Deployable Equipment Division specializes in the supply and installation of structures and equipment required for remote base camp operations. This division’s primary focus remains the supply of modular buildings, containerized structures, unique rapid deployment shelters, and other pre-engineered and prefabricated building systems.

TURNKEY, CUSTOMIZED BASE CAMP PROGRAM

Nova’s turnkey, customized base camp program combines these pre-engineered structures in a camp layout with all support equipment (genset, water / waste treatment utility connections, furniture / collateral equipment, perimeter fencings, etc) and site preparation / construction as required. Nova will provide a package of equipment and services that will meet specific budget and deadline considerations.

RAPID DEPLOYMENT BUILDING (RDB) SYSTEM

Nova’s Rapid Deployment Building System is a unique, go-anywhere, building system that demounts onto a pallet (7.5ft x 9.5ft) for compact logistics. All components (wall, floor, roof panels) are hand-portable.

Standard structures are assembled in approx. 30 minutes using simple hand tools (no cranes / heavy equipment). Leveling feet allow for assembly on uneven, unprepared terrain. Assembled they are hard wall, hard floor shelters, prewired for electric. This is a modular system so structures can be built to any size / shape.

The RDB System is designed for multiple deployments and can be assembled, disassembled, and reassembled dozens of times with no degradation to the structural integrity. Perfect for air-freight, can be loaded into sea containers, and can be transported on small vehicles to very remote locations.

FLATPACK CONTAINER STRUCTURES

Standard base camp accommodation / office structures ship flat but assemble quickly into 2.43m x 6.1m modular containers with nicely finished interiors. Containers can be joined together to make large, open plan structures or can stand-alone as living accommodations or office shelters.

Demountable flatpack containers are designed for stacking in their disassembled and assembled forms. Minimal lifting equipment required for assembly. Can be erected with minimal foundation (level blocks, shims). Disassembled containers allow for low ocean / road transport costs.

ISO CONTAINER CONVERSIONS

Rugged preassembled ISO shipping containers can be supplied with completely finished interiors. No installation - just 'plug and play'. Ready for operation upon arrival and hookup of utilities, making them perfect for predesigned equipment facilities (kitchens, ablutions, laundry, etc). Equipment can be preinstalled for immediate use on site. They are extremely durable for rough environments or frequent moving.

PRE-ENGINEERED BUILDINGS

Pre-engineered buildings are very cost effective structures utilised for larger building requirements (kitchen / dining halls, recreation facilities, single story or multistory dormitory structures). Utilizing concrete foundations these structures provide the best overall cost per-square-meter and have few limitations in terms of design, size and function. Completely disassembled pre-engineered buildings ship extremely compactly for on-site assembly.
