IDEX Round-Up: Many Delegations And A Hot Arabian Summer for Kärcher Futuretech's Anis Skhiri

29 April 2009

Kärcher Futuretech sales manager Anis Skhiri returned from the United Arab Emirates with a large number of new impressions.

At the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi, the largest exhibition in the Arab region, the 36-year-old manager in charge of the Middle East gained the trust of many interested visitors and potential partners.

Delegations from the United Arab Emirates such as the UAE land forces, special forces, navy, police, chemical directorate and logistical department showed interest in the wide product range of Kärcher Futuretech.

Everybody, in fact, took a seat on the legendary red sofa at the Kärcher Futuretech stand. The guests focused on products of the NBC protection systems range and mobile water purification plants. The Kärcher Futuretech team did not miss the opportunity to establish many new contacts with the representatives of neighbouring states.

Whether holding intensive talks with the Kuwait national guard, Jordan civil defence, Qatar special forces, Oman MoD or high-ranking representatives from Iraq or Yemen, the work schedule of the sales manager, who is very familiar with the Arabian mentality, is now extremely busy.

Mr Skhiri said: "Many trips will be necessary to the different countries to further the individual projects." The sales expert is looking forward to a hot Arabian summer in 2009. In his various tasks at the IDEX he had already been supported by the Kärcher FZE team (with its seat in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates) and its directing manager Richard Nouira, head of the Middle East affiliate of the Kärcher Group for commercial and consumer products (yellow product range).

There was a lively exchange between Kärcher Futuretech and Kärcher FZE at the exhibition, forming the basis for further positive synergies.

Mr Skhiri, who also intends to explore other new business areas and attaches increasing importance to protection measures in view of critical threats, said: "Kärcher has already become a real brand in the Middle East. We are already working on a security project."
