At the end of last year, Kärcher Futuretech GmbH became an independent entity within the framework of the worldwide Kärcher organisation.

The previous ‘Sales Government Customers’ division was taken over by Kärcher Futuretech GmbH in order to be able to react more flexibly to the needs and requirements of the market and to accelerate its present speed of growth. With a sales increase of ten percent in 2005 (Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG closed the business year with a turnover of €1.106bn and a sales growth of 7%), Kärcher Futuretech GmbH, and namely its managing directors Helmut Stelzmüller and Eberhard Kornas look back on a positive end result in the year the company was established.

Innovative Kärcher systems which have been developed together with the defence institutions and experts of leading nations for worldwide missions and a complete range of products make Kärcher Futuretech a worldwide leading provider of ‘systems for peace-keepers’.

Also in the area of civil defence and disaster control, patented forward-looking Kärcher solutions have been proved to save lives, as witnessed for example after the Tsunami catastrophe in South East Asia last year.

Kärcher Futuretech has started the new year 2006 with a large range of products in the six product groups NBC protection, field camp systems, mobile catering systems, water purification systems, material maintenance systems and NBC protective clothing.

Helmut Stelzmüller, managing director of Kärcher Futuretech is optimistic about the future: “Our innovative products put us in a brilliant position and enable us to meet the requirements of our different customers”. Innovations such as the Water Bottling Plant 700 and FilaTwist 4000 in the range of water purification systems, the new MPDS (Multi Purpose Decontamination System) in the group of NBC protection systems, or the Highly Mobile Field Camp System 150 are considered as trumps for the coming years. Helmut Stelzmüller sees the key to success “in the intensification of the development and expansion of strategic partnerships”, and adds “We are ready for further big projects”.

This year, Kärcher Futuretech will be present worldwide at the following exhibitions: first at Asian Defence Technology in Singapore (February 21 to 26), after that at SOFEX in Amman, Jordan (March 27 to 30), followed by Defense Services Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (April 24 to 27). A high-light will be the Eurosatory in Paris (June 12 to 16). In the same month, the Worldwide Chemical Conference in Ft. Leonard, MO (June 27 to 29) will take place.
