JB Roche - Emergency Response and Aircraft Maintenance SheltersJB Roche, from Cork, Ireland, design, develop, manufacture and market specialised shelters and canvas products for a range of markets, including the military, emergency service, aviation, architectural, marine and industrial sectors. EMERGENCY RESPONSE SHELTERSWe design and build several different types of shelter for emergency response teams, including those at:
We have pre-designed emergency response shelters customised for each of these applications, and also offer a full range of accessories. We will be happy to advise you which of our emergency response shelters best suits your specific requirements. INFLATABLE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SHELTERSOur unique and patented inflatable aircraft maintenance shelters are used by airliners and MROs throughout the world to get their aircraft airborne again in the most difficult weather conditions. While our aircraft maintenance shelters cannot offer the comfort and safety of a regular hangar, they can make the difference between getting the job done or facing many days of costly delays with inconvenience to passengers or freight customers. WIND-RESISTANT AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SHELTERSAll of our inflatable aircraft maintenance shelters work using the same principle. A fan (which operates continuously during inflation) blows air through a series of interconnected fabric tubes, thereby causing them to inflate. The tubes, which are pressurised to a level slightly lower than ambient pressure, form the framework of the shelter, which is engineered to envelop a part of the nacelle or wing profile, effectively docking the shelter to the aircraft and making it extremely stable even in very windy conditions. CUSTOMISABLE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SHELTERSAir conditioning cart inlets are incorporated into the shelter for more demanding climates – these ports may be zippered shut when not in use. The huge benefit of the inflatable aircraft maintenance shelter is that it is air supported; meaning both that it cannot damage the aircraft or personnel using it, and is designed to be an exact fit for every aircraft in your fleet. AIRPORT RECOVERY SHELTERSAll aircraft maintenance shelters are easily transportable for airport recovery uses and can be inflated by two personnel in less than five minutes. A series of fan types are available, depending on the applications envisaged: from an inexpensive 110V / 220V blower for ramp-based work to a 110V / 400Hz unit for aircraft recovery operations. INDUSTRIAL FABRICATION CAPABILITIESOur company is ISO 9001 certified and we employ cutting-edge design and manufacturing equipment. Our industrial fabrication capabilities include high-speed automated coupling, high-frequency welding, ultrasonic welding, hot-air welding, hot-wedge welding, impulse sealing, sewing and hot-taping, and other proprietary seaming methods. SHELTER DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND PROTOTYPESWe specialise in short-run products and are happy to quote for product design, development and prototype-building. We hold worldwide patent protection on our aircraft inflatable shelters range.
