Giertsen HallSystem AS is a sales and marketing company in the W. Giertsen AS group, which manufactures and sells high quality shelters with the brand name RubbHall. RubbHall is a relocatable building system, and it is world famous for its high quality and good performance in tropical weather as well as Nordic climates.

RubbHall shelters are manufactured with steel or aluminium frames, covered with PVC fabric. Standard areas of applications are as a prefabricated warehouse, emergency shelter, hangar, workshop, hospital, storage and dormitory

Since the early 1970s, more than 5,000 RubbHall shelters have been manufactured to customers all over the world.

THA, THAB AND THL RUBBHALL EMERGENCY SHELTERS

The THA range of RubbHall shelters consists of models with six to twelve meter spans. The THA is a stronger version than the THAB, which is the number one shelter in emergency operations. This RubbHall shelter is used extensively by UN agencies and NGOs mainly due to its durability, low weight and volume as well as rapid and straightforward erection.

The traditional tent shaped THA shelter is designed with a hot dip galvanised steel frame and anti-fungus treated, UV stabilised, PVC coated polyester fabric. A newly developed version of the THAB shelter is equipped with an aluminium frame to further reduce weight.

Due to heat and light transmission, the standard colour is white.

THPA RUBBHALL – MODULAR SHELTERS

This RubbHall is delivered where hospitals, dormitories, warehouses or workshops are needed. The tents have a traditional tent shaped structure consisting of lightweight hot-dip galvanised steel structures, which is easy to assemble. The standard size is 5.5m x 16m, but any length based upon four metre modules can be manufactured.

NV RUBBHALL – PREFABRICATED BUILDINGS

This model is a cost effective, multi purpose, prefabricated building, and delivered in spans ranging from 10m to 25m. Doors can be delivered in a choice of fabric or steel, and for large opening for vehicles or aircraft to enter and exit through.

Typical applications are warehouse, workshops, sports halls, or aircraft hangars.

RDS RUBBHALL – RAPID DEPLOYMENT SHELTER

The Rapid Deployment Shelter (RDS) is made of aluminium box section. Windows with mosquito nets are provided at the gable end and on the sidewalls incorporating an external roll-up cover. Standard size is 5m x 10m.

ERECTION

Every single RubbHall delivered is supplied with a comprehensive erection manual. Smaller units like THA, THPA and RDS are mostly erected by our customers. Larger units demand more skills, and we recommend that you allow us to provide you with either a supervisor or a crew of engineers.
