DRASH Provides Total Solution at AUSADHS Systems
Known as one of the largest military trade shows of the year, the annual Association of the United States Army (AUSA) annual meeting and exposition was held in Washington, DC this year. The trade show was the ideal place for companies to highlight their newest product innovations and services to the Army and other government officials.
This year, DHS Technologies sought to provide total solutions for the military by not only displaying its proven shelter systems, but also including related products with those systems, and unveiling two new solutions, XYTEX 500 and the IDDS.
At the show, the company set-up a TMSS large shelter, providing 1,250 square feet of usable space and equipped it with DRASH deployable command and control equipment (DC2E). The company's new IDDS distribution box, compliments the capabilities of any DC2E system by providing users with an easier and more cost-effective method of distributing power and network connectivity inside a shelter system. The display featured at AUSA simulated a tactical operations centre (TOC) often used by soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Visitors were also given a briefing on XYTEX 500, a new shelter fabric that kills 99.99% of microbes on contact and is soon to be in full production.
According to Kevin Shirey, deputy director of field operations for DHS Systems, company participation in this year's AUSA is an important element of maintaining position relationships with the US Army and fostering new ones.
Kevin said: "The combination of energising our business efforts with the launch of XYTEX 500, as well as the overwhelming feedback we received from current and new customers from this expo, has affirmed DHS capabilities to support a diverse assortment of customer needs heading into 2012."
He added that plans are well underway for DHS to attend more expos like AUSA and to unveil new product solutions in 2012. Shirey added that he sees a bright future ahead for the company.
