Ably Shelters are acknowledged leaders in the specialist design, supply and support of relocatable shelters and temporary buildings for military deployment. We provide soft wall, tension fabric and container based structures ensuring that the solution is optimised to the task.

The scope of Ably Shelters products covers mobile field shelters, command centres, custom storage, vehicle workshops and maintenance structures, helicopter hangars and general-purpose tents, and includes the complete containment of warships including nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers.

Recent bespoke solutions include large area maintenance shelters, forward deployed workshops, temporary deployable accommodation, marine refit and upkeep, soldier protection, personnel shelters and the design and build of entire camp infrastructure.

LVRE SHELTER - LIGHTWEIGHT, VERY RAPID ERECT SHELTER

The LVRE (lightweight, very rapid erect) shelter is an in-service solution for the battlefield containment of frontline attack helicopters and VTOL aircraft, enabling in-theatre mission preparation, refuelling and maintenance. Its aluminium and composite construction technology facilitates erection of exceptionally large tactical shelters by four personnel in a groundbreaking six hours.

VERY LARGE AREA SHELTERS

Robust LIBRA frame structures utilise Ably's Diamond Beam system of aluminium components. Erection is ultra fast, with clear spans attaining 35m and optional opening gables, yet the finished structure can accommodate overhead cranes of up to 2t capacity. This flexible building system easily configures to applications such as aircraft hangars, workshops, stores, dockyard enclosures and ship building facilities, where it is used to contain complete vessels in a secure, weather-proof working environment.

LIGHTWEIGHT HIGH PACKING DENSITY SHELTER

ABLY 'I' is another Ably innovation that features lightweight high packing density components, configurable for all GP tent and command centre applications. These components are also incorporated in many of our bespoke solutions, including Penthouse shelters for a wide variety of military vehicles and weapon coverage.

RELOCATABLE SELF POWERED AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

This self contained, rapidly deployed, dual mode AC unit, generator and switch-gear delivers substantial cooling, heating and power supply for large shelters. Housed in a 20ft ISO DROPS container, the unit provides 82kW cooling capacity, 50kW heating, and a diesel generator power source in a small footprint. Ably's highly mobile, robust ReSPACU deploys to on-line operation in just 20 minutes.

WEATHERHAVEN SHELTERS AND MECC™ CONTAINER BASED SYSTEMS

We are proud to represent Weatherhaven Shelters of Canada, manufacturers of the largest range of advanced modular shelters and container based structures in the world. Especially applicable in areas of extreme climate, the shelter range comes in incremental spans of up to 9.15m, with galvanised steel framework, tensile fabric cladding and a list of optional extras to meet the most demanding of specifications.

MECC™ (Mobile Expandable Container Configuration) is another market leading product. Based upon a standard ISO container module, the MECC™ system expands to a 300% increase in floor area and can be prefabricated as a field laundry, catering unit, ablutions, toilets, hospital, offices, workshop, etc.

Using state-of-the-art design systems, our qualified and experienced design team works in close association with both armed forces and equipment manufacturers to build functional and innovative shelters that satisfy specialist requirements.

THROUGH LIFE SUPPORT

Warehousing, inventory management, distribution, erection / dismantling, refurbishment, repair and storage throughout planned product life. Preferred supplier arrangements provide and maintain all ancillary equipment to support camp infrastructure.
