AAR has signed a contract to supply 463L cargo pallets to the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence. The four-year contract is valued at up to $13.8m, or £8.3m. The work will be performed by AAR’s Mobility Systems business in Cadillac.

The specialised Air Cargo Pallets (ACPs) will be used on a variety of transport aircraft in conjunction with United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (U.K. MoD) cargo handling systems to transport supplies in aircraft, within airfreight terminals and on motorised and non-motorised vehicles.

AAR Mobility Systems general manager Mark Platko said, "We are proud to be selected once again as the UK MoD’s exclusive provider of 463L pallets to be used across all environments where the UK military operates. This award further strengthens AAR’s reputation as a worldwide leader in the manufacture of products that support military transport and logistics requirements."

The 10,000lb capacity pallets will be deployed on fixed-wing aircraft that include the Hercules C-130J; C-17A Globemaster III; TriStar KC1; Voyager KC-30; A400M Atlas; and the Antonov An-124.
