Dyno Nobel ASA - High Energy Materials - High Explosives and Energetic PlasticizersDyno Nobel ASA, High Energy Materials (DNHEM) is a major supplier of high explosives such as HMX, RDX, explosive compositions based on those and also energetic plasticizers such as Butyl-NENA as well as other more sophisticated explosives. Our products are applied in main and precursor charges, boosters, demolition charges, gun and rocket propellants, shock-tubes, detonating cords and perforator charges for both commercial and defence markets. All our explosives are exported as bulk materials from Norway. Dyno Nobel is a qualified supplier for a wide range of weapon systems, ammunition as well as for commercial systems in the oil and gas industry. US, German and NATO military specification requirements are used as reference for most of the products offered. HIGH EXPLOSIVES AND COMPOSITIONSDyno Nobel's range of high explosives and compositions includes HMX, RDX, explosive compositions, HNS, NTO and special products. HMXHMX is produced to meet customer requirements and military specification standards. Particle size distributions from <10µm to >1,000µm are available. Three different levels of quality are offered.
EXPLOSIVE COMPOSITIONSHigh explosive compositions are produced to meet customer specification requirements and military standards. Melt/cast, pressable and plastic compositions as well as premixes (CXM) for PBX cast/cure compositions are available. Altogether more than 50 different compositions are offered from traditional compositions, including Comp B, Comp C-4, Octol, Comp A-3, A-4, A-5, PBXN-9, PBXW-11, PBXW-17, LX-14, PBXN-5, PBXN-3, CXM-7 (PBXN-109), CXM-3 (PBXN-107), HMX/IDP (PBXN-110) etc. HNS, NTO AND SPECIAL PRODUCTS Dyno Nobel also manufactures special products such as HNS and NTO. Modern pilot plant facilities are available for development of new products and special production programmes. ALKYL-NENAS - ENERGETIC PLASTICIZERSBu-NENA as well as Ethyl and Methyl-NENA (MEN-42) are energetic plasticizers produced in industrial quantities based on a Dyno Nobel patented process. Energetic plasticizers are used as ingredients in gun and rocket propellants and high explosive compositions. RDX RDX is produced by the Bachman process and fulfils military specification requirements. Particle size distributions from <10μm to >1,000μm are available and three different levels of quality are offered.
QUALITY ASSURANCE DNHEM’s quality assurance system is approved by the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation/Material Investments, Quality Assurance Branch according to AQAP 110. AQAP corresponds to ISO-9001 with additional requirements. Government quality assurance according to NATO STANAG 4107 can be performed upon customers request through proper channels.
