We are pleased to announce ATI électronique, owned by the Malavieille family since 1951, was acquired by Interconnexions on 26 February. This historical change concerns the connector division, which was made a subsidiary in July 2008. The mother company, Alliance Technique Industrielle (ATI), retains the fibre-optic component manufacturing activity, and its distribution is managed through its sister company, SEDI.
Interconnexions is located near ATI électronique in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, a small town approximately 40km south of Paris. The company develops, manufactures and commercialises wiring components (backshells, splitting boxes and accessories), connectors for specific applications and interconnection sub-systems principally dedicated to the aeronautical and space industry (80%) and the railroad industry (20%). Its turnover is €8.8 million and it has 56 employees.
ATI électronique and Interconnexions are now sister companies and the CEO is Maurice Hersant. The acquisition was carried out by financial holding company Finterco, which also executed the buy over of Interconnexions in 2006. This new group represents a total turnover of €17.5 million and employs 114 people.
The new development is positive for the company, strengthening its position as a supplier of interconnection solutions for harsh environments and underlining its dedication to the key players of the aeronautical, defence and railroad industries. Our competences and ability to offer adapted solutions will be stronger and opens new opportunities to continue our growth and success in France, as well as abroad. It allows us to diversify our technologies and increase our capacity to offer added value solutions in a very technical and demanding market.
We hope this evolution will help us strengthen our business relationship with our customers. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the company.
