MILITARY COTS DC-DC V•I CHIP MODULES The V•I chip Pre-Regulator Module (PRM) is a very efficient non-isolated regulator capable of both boosting and bucking a wide range of input voltage (16V to 50V). It is specifically designed to provide a controlled factorized bus distribution voltage for powering downstream V•I chip Voltage Transformation Modules (VTMs) – fast, efficient, isolated, low-noise Point-Of-Load (POL) converters with output voltages ranging from 1V to 50V. In combination, PRMs and VTMs form a complete DC-DC converter subsystem offering all of the unique benefits of Vicor’s Factorized Power Architecture (FPA): high density and efficiency; low noise operation; architectural flexibility; extremely fast transient response; and elimination of bulk capacitance at the POL. CUSTOMIZED POWER SYSTEMSVicor and its affiliates are able to offer a customized power-system design and build service. Whatever the requirements, Vicor's flexible power components allow designers to achieve the highest power density in whatever package is needed, and to deliver a unique power system in the shortest time and at the lowest cost. Our Vicor Integration Architects (VIAs) have extensive experience with military COTS and aerospace applications and can provide module-based custom power systems quickly and cost effectively. FLEXIBLE DC POWER SYSTEMSVicor's highly flexible DC power systems can be configured with up to four outputs for a maximum power of 600W per output. Inputs can be either 28V or 270V with selectable outputs from 2V to 48V. EMI and transient protection models, featuring integral front-end filtering, are also available. MILITARY COTS DC-DC POWER CONVERTERS Vicor's highly flexible DC-DC power converters are available in eight standard input voltages and can be configured to any output voltage from 2V to 48V. These power systems, with inputs between 28V and 270V, meet the power requirements of MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-704. In addition, we have introduced the Custom Module Design System (CMDS), a patented system that enables customers to specify on-line, and verify in real time, the performance and attributes of micro, mini, and maxi DC-DC converters. Vicor's proprietary spin-fill process assures complete void-free encapsulation, making these converters suitable for the harshest environments. 100% environmental screening is standard and all product families have been tested and qualified to severe limits of MIL-STD-810, including shock, vibration, acceleration, explosive atmosphere and humidity. DC FILTER MODULES WITH EMI AND TRANSIENT PROTECTIONVicor offers DC front-end modules that provide both EMI and transient protection in a single 'half-brick' package. 28V and 270V models are available to meet the requirements of MIL-STD-461 for EMI, and MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-704 for transient protection.
