SYNCHRONOUS, ASYNCHRONOUS AND PME ALTERNATORS

The choice is yours - synchronous, asynchronous or the new Kirsch Permanent Magnet Excited alternators (PME alternators). All Kirsch alternators are the result of rigorous, optimized research and development.

Our capacitor-excited asynchronous alternators are maintenance- free, slipring-free, brushless and short-circuit resistant. The enclosed and surface-cooled design ensures resistance to water and dust ingress (IP 54).

Our machines are robust with outstanding static and dynamic performance. They are characterized by minimal voltage fluctuations, short settling times and minimum harmonic content and are thus ideal for supplying even the most power-quality sensitive consumers.

Our latest development is a special power unit with PME synchronous alternator for AC and DC applications. As DC units, these alternators are controlled via a speed modulation, which results in both optimum battery charging and direct DC supply.

In the AC units, the speed is adapted to the energy demand. Conversion to 230V / 400V with 50Hz is carried out via a power electronic converter with precision functions.

AC GENERATING SETS

Kirsch Alternating Current (AC) generating sets are suitable for use in single-phase or multi-phase consumer loads. Our asynchronous alternators can also be used to supply non-linear power loads, such as consumers with power electronic components in the power pack. Their functions comply with STANAG 4135, the conditions for use with STANAG 2895, and the EMC with MIL-STD 461D.

DC GENERATING SETS

Kirsch Direct Current (DC) generating sets charge and buffer batteries. This is necessary in vehicles in which systems must be supplied without running the main engine. Their functions comply with STANAG 4134, the conditions for use with STANAG 2895, and the EMC with MIL-STD 461D.

VSCF-TECHNOLOGY: VARIABLE SPEED-CONSTANT FREQUENCY

Why Variable Speed Constant Frequency (VSCF) technology? Here are a few good reasons for adapting a power generator's performance to be variable in speed and constant in frequency:
