ELSIS - Military Power Supplies, Chargers, Inverters and Converters

ELSIS, Elektronik Sistemler Sanayi A.S., established in 1971, deals mainly with R&D, design and manufacturing of power electronic equipment. Products are made to industrial or military standards, according to customer demands.

ELSIS main products are switch mode power supplies, battery chargers, DC/DC voltage converters, DC/AC inverters, uninterruptible power supplies, AC line voltage regulators, power management units.

Most of the units may be arranged for parallel-redundant operation.

SWITCH MODE DC POWER SUPPLIES

ELSIS switch mode DC power supplies cover a broad range from 5VDC to 400VDC and from 5A to 1,000A, up to 48kW power rating. Different topologies are designed according to input and output ratings. All switch mode DC power supply units above 400VA power rating include an 'active power factor correction' at the input that always keeps the 'pf' above 0.99.

One of our outstanding switch mode DC power supply products is the naturally cooled, MIL-STD model, ASL- 1K4-CHR, which is a very rugged unit with IP-68 protection class. It has a wide input voltage range from 176VAC to 265VAC and output 28VDC up to 40A, current limited.

It can be used as a power supply or as a battery charger with battery temperature compensation. EMI / RFI characteristics are compliant with MIL-STD- 461E and environmental characteristics with MIL-STD-810E. Unit yields full performance between -32°C to +63°C.

SWITCH MODE BATTERY CHARGERS

ELSIS manufactures various battery chargers, both for industrial and military use. One of our most appreciated military type battery chargers is the model ASL-3K3-Chr, which is compact, rugged, efficient and above all very reliable.

This rack-type battery charger unit, suitable for tactical mobile applications is also compliant with MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD-810E and MIL-STD-1275A and B. It is designed for IP-20 protection class, is cooled by an axial fan which pushes the air from front to rear of the unit.

The ASL-3K3-CHR battery charger has a wide input range from 175VAC to 265VAC with active power factor correction, the output is 120A and can be remotely controlled. Up to six battery charger units can be paralleled. Units yield full performance between -32°C to +55°C.

DC / AC INVERTERS

MIL-STD rack-type pure sine wave DC / AC inverters - ELSIS manufactures high reliability, high efficiency and high reliability DC / AC inverters. The power range of the inverters is from 500VA to 6kVA. Input voltages for standard products are 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC, 60VDC and 72VDC.

Our 1kVA, 1.5kVA, 2kVA and 3kVA DC / AC inverter units are the most demanded types for military applications. They all comply with the standards MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD-810E, MIL-STD-1275A and B. All these DC / AC inverter units are fully short circuit and over load protected. Unit yields full performance between -32°C to +55°C.

Units with similar specifications are also manufactured to 19in Rack size with 2U height.

ULTRA COMPACT DC / AC INVERTERS

Another line of products manufactured by ELSIS is the ELS-K07-INV ultra compact DC / AC inverters. These are rugged and compact units with 26VDC input and various output capacities, like 26VAC / 400Hz, 110VAC / 60Hz, 220VAC / 50Hz, etc. Power ratings are 75VA or 100VA.

These ultra compact inverter units are base-plate cooled and the operational temperature is between -40°C to +90°C base plate temperature. Compact size is 87.5mm x 87.5mm x 34mm. The ultra compact DC / AC inverters feature continuous overload, short circuit and over-temperature protection.

These ultra compact inverter units find broad application in tactical land vehicles, gyros, missiles and aviation systems.
