Comrod - Power Supplies, Converters and Battery Chargers

Comrod's product line ranges from small power supplies integrated in the customers system to complex systems with supervision, and battery chargers for lead acid, NiCd and Li-Ion batteries.

The products are designed with focus on high EMC and EMP immunity, low noise emission, high efficiency, demanding environments and high reliability, and all products utilize soft switching topologies providing higher efficiency, lower cost and more compact products.

Universal input voltage and frequency

The standard power supplies and battery chargers has universal input voltage, from 99V AC to 264V AC and from 50Hz - 400Hz, and power factor correction for optimum adaptation to weak power sources such as portable generator sets.

Battery chargers and power supplies for C4I systems

The products are very often used for C4I applications in mobile platforms and vehicles.

Our products meet all relevant MIL-standards for EMC and environmental conditions, such as MIL-STD- 461, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-1275. We combine a strong focus on the requirements of the military industry with a relentless quest for quality and cost-effectiveness. About Comrod

Comrod is a Norwegian company with head quarter located at Tau, close to Stavanger. The power division has been in the military business for more than 20 years, and is located in Leangbukta, aprox 20 minutes drive from downtown Oslo.

Our capabilities include design and development of power supplies and battery chargers for demanding military applications. Testing according to MIL-standards is done by independent test houses, and the production is out-sourced. Our customers are military organisations, direct and prime contractors in NATO, and other friendly countries.
