Air Rover - Military Power Generators, ECUs and HVAC Systems

22 years ago, Air Rover introduced the first air-cooled portable air conditioners manufactured in the USA. Today, government, military, and commercial clients utilize Air Rover portable air conditioners and military environmental control units worldwide.

Air Rover has recently added a new series of trailer integration systems with the purchasing of Barnwell Trailer military humvee-towable tactical generators and trailers. With the AR MIL GEN series, Air Rover has expanded its capability to meet demands for military trailer integration including state-of-the-art split ECUs, MIL-STD-810F certified ECUs, generators and custom storage for harsh military environments.

25KW, 40KW AND 60KW GENERATOR TRAILERS

Air Rover offers three sizes of AR MIL GEN Series (25kW, 40kW and 60kW) brushless generators equipped with the following standard features:

  • Remote panels and filters
  • Automatic voltage regulator +/- 3%
  • Electronic governor +/- 2 Hz
  • Radiator-cooled with voltage fan (fan guards)
  • Dry type air cleaner
  • Spin-on lube oil filter, spin-on fuel filters
  • Critical exhaust silencer
  • Stainless steel exhaust flex
  • 24V direct current starting motor
  • 24V direct current battery charging alternator
  • 24V direct current fuel pump
  • Safety shutdowns for high water temperature and low oil pressure
  • Set-mounted start/stop switch and hour meter
  • Multi-function digital display panel (AR MIL GEN Series)
  • Patent-pending foldable tongue ( for the trailer)

MILITARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL UNITS (ECUs)

In the early 1990s, Air Rover's engineering team designed Environmental Control Units (ECUs) to cool command centers for the J-Star program in operation Desert Storm. In 2003, Air Rover developed a lightweight ECU capable of providing cold, refrigerated air in ambient temperatures up to 150° F. Air Rover named this rugged line of ECUs the UL series. All branches of the US Armed Forces deployed the UL series ECUs for tent and equipment cooling in operation Iraqi Freedom.

Although recent engineering efforts have focused primarily on military HVAC solutions, Air Rover has continued product development in its XL Series line of commercial portable air conditioners. XL Series portable air conditioners are used in computer rooms, telephone equipment rooms, factory workstations, assembly lines, office and factory hot spots, or virtually any other location that requires additional cooling.

FIXED ECUs AND HVAC SYSTEMS

Product offerings include the UL Series lightweight environmental control units (ECU), the HT Series high ambient portable air conditioner systems, the ULV series vertical wall mount ECU systems, the WC Series water-cooled portable air conditioner systems, the TM Series trailer mounted ECU/generator packages, the ULS series hand-deployable split system environmental control units, XL series portable spot cooler systems, and a wide range of air conditioning accessories.
