On 31 October, WB Electronics’ President, Piotr Wojciechowski, signed a Memorandum of Intent (MOI) with the Australian Company, Cablex, to move towards a partnership that will provide WB’s extensive range of Military products to the Australian Ministry of Defence.

The MOI was signed in the Australian residence in Warsaw and witnessed by Australian Defence Minister Christopher Pyne MP. WB aim to work on the transfer of manufacturing, knowledge, and training and maintenance to provide full support to the Australian Defence Forces.

Mr. Wojciechowski observes that: “Cablex approached us with a very promising and detailed proposal for the implementation of our products into Australia. We were impressed with the dynamic attitude of the Cablex board and the depth of knowledge of our systems and how we could provide them to the Australian MOD.

“Further, we are strong supporters of providing extensive local content to all our foreign sales as it ensures a more robust system to the end user with quick support from trusted in-country suppliers. We find the Australian attitude to promoting local industry and Research and Development very similar to that in Poland, and I strongly believe that this partnership will be the start of an excellent collaboration between Poland and Australia in the defence sector.”

The partnership between WB and Cablex will focus on both Communication and Control Systems and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. In particular, the two companies will work on novel and tailored solutions for the Australian Forces to meet their specific requirements. WB and Cablex plan to commence work on projects within the next months with the express aim of presenting WB’s products in Australia in the coming year.
